Humor and adventure” is the blog’s theme. Semi-Rad is a mix of subjects that are mostly outdoors and adventure-related. It’s a lot of fun, honest and enjoyable to go through.

From Semi-Rad: I’m Brendan Leonard, and I created this site in the year 2011. I believe that we all should do more of the things that we enjoy, going to places which make us feel inadequate and remembering to be awed by ourselves and being a bit exhausted, cold and scared once every once in a while. I’ve ridden my bicycle across America as well as run numerous ultramarathons and even lived out of an old van for three years, exploring and climbing in the mountains of the West. I came up with Semi-Rad.com to provide a forum for us who aren’t the elite ultrarunners, skiers, climbers, and alpinists. These are the people who are eager to get out there but do not take the sport too seriously. Semi-Rad is an expression of enthusiasm for activities every day people can enjoy the adventure for the everyday man and woman. It’s a site for those who love it, sort of. I hope you enjoy it.
